Finding an accomodation
First thing is to ask the right questions: Staying for a few nights or staying for long time (the time to get SSN and to find an appartment) ?
- Whether it's the second choice, you might prefer to go to an extended stay hotel. Rate is about 25% higher than motels but you will have a much larger room with a kitchen. Best choice seems to be studio 6 (same company as motel 6, belonging to ACCOR group) but it is only available in a few states.
- When staying a few nights, the cheaper are motels (excepted youth hostels) and don't believe there are always situated along freeways! You have a large choice but motel 6 and super 8 seems to be the most famous.
